NBA Today My Player Mode is perhaps the most exciting new feature built into NBA 2K10. Instead of focusing on over all team status, My Player Mode is a career mode, allowing players at home create the ultimate NBA player from the ground, up and guide his every career move. Start as an undrafted rookie in the Summer Leagues, where you specify every aspect of your character’s game and physical makeup. Work hard enough throughout the series of games played here, gathering enough experience points along the way to build the skills your player needs at his position and you may get an invite to participate in an NBA team’s training camp. And if you don’t make the cut, not to worry there is always the D-League, where you can work more on your game until you get your next shot. Either way, the road to being an NBA star is a long and hard battle full of challenges. Crews Basketball is a team sport, and NBA 2K10 acknowledges this with its Crew functionality. Round up your friends and build the ultimate squad, using either your created players from My Player mode or an actual NBA team, then go online and battle other Crews for bragging rights and progression points as you try to climb your way to the top of the Crew leaderboard rankings. Living Rosters The 2K Insider and his team of NBA analysts continue to keep NBA 2K10 fresh with up-to-date team and player information, including roster and lineup moves, trades, injuries and player ratings. Now track all of the changes through the season with interactive menus and analysis. Seamless Online Experience Forget the past, with NBA 2K10 online play is fully incorporated into every mode of the game. Now you can play the AI, challenge the friend sitting next to you or play your buddy across town anytime, from anywhere in the game. The game features 1-4 player support in versus and coop play locally and 2-10 player support in versus and coop play online with up to a full five man roster on each side. Signature Play Signature Play pulls together all of NBA 2K’s player Signature Styles and adds in all-new Signature Tendencies and facial expressions, creating NBA 2K10 teams that play and react like their real life counterparts for an unbelievably realistic NBA experience. New Intuitive Offensive Controls All-new easy-to-use dribbling and post game controls allow you to pull off ankle breaking Iso-Motion moves and dominate like Kobe from the perimeter to the paint. Shut Down D Every NBA star knows that offense is flashy, but defense wins championships. With this in mind NBA 2K10 gives you the opportunity to show your stuff at both ends of the court. Shut down teams like never before with innovative defensive controls that allow you to shadow your opponent’s every move, deny position off-ball, and even select how you want to contest shots. |

I am a basektball junkie..and with that said i like playing the sport watching and playing the video games so therefore i like the basketball game to be life like i feel the 2k series has delievered once again. although the game has glitches right now they should be adressed in the near future such as wen u kick out to a open shooter and he freezes or the post game slows down and results in a 3 sec call..nothin major at least to me. but the lockdown d control is good unlike last yr in 2k9 no matter what you did cpu morphed 3pointers in your face and ima 2k legend..dont sleep on me now i also have played live since then to and nba live has always been behind 2k still is but nba live is kinda like arcade baskeball i can see why people enjoy that you can shoot fadeaways with players who dont really shoot fadeaways while in Nba 2k series players have always played like how they played…so if you for a more realistic simulation style buy 2k if you want a more flasy fadeaway quick game game get live or if you ballin get both lol this jus my opinion i will probably get live lata on as i always do when the season half over but for now 2k the game to get…also the presentation with kevin harlen and clark is official keeps you excited but to sum it up basically if you a average gamer get nba live the controls will be more to your flavor and you will adapt quickly to nba live but if you want a realistic feel get nba 2k10……….

I thought 2k’s series were better than live’s until now this year live looks better i have 2k10 and i will sell it to buy live 10 i play the live 10 demo and is much better; 2k10 dribble is terrible is very difficult to do any crossover or anymove, but live 10 by pressing a button u will make lots of fancy move with the ball, for me, gameplay of previews 2k’s were better than live’s; but this year i think live 10 gameplay is better than 2k10; the one thing i like about 2k is that u can edit your rookies names i don’t know if u can do the same in live.
so if you r looking to buy a nba game you should rent it or play the demo remember the demo 2k10 rookied combine draft the gameplay is not like that when u play a nba game it only look like that on my player mode (nba games, gameplay looks much worst)

way too dificult, no fun, i even let me 10 yr nephew play nba live 10 and he was dunking and fancy dunks and winning the other team, then i let him play 2k10 and he was loosing and couldnt go to dunk it, and like 2 people always blocking him from going to the rim, and the dunks are cheap dunks they do, and there is no half time show or anything special for half time, and no special into when the game first loads up, i love that it has soo many extras, but with no fun playing it ? thats the most inportant part, i had it on the easiest and the cheapest team and was still difficult for my nephew. i had to change my grading for this game, the fun of it is the best part of a game and this didnt have that. i had high hopes for this, was a huge Lakers fan and even after winning the championship and the start of 2010 , i was let down, i had to quickly sell it on ebay while it still had value to those who havent played it yet. No wonder the demo for this didnt come out for the PS3 that same week or even the next week, to get people to buy this thing. I wouldnt even want to be on the cover of this thing.
