Product Description
The New York Times bestselling author’s Carpathian classic goes Manga!

Christine Feehan has reinvented the vampire novel with her New York Times bestselling Carpathian series. Now she and Berkley take her “out-of-the-ordinary” (Booklist) in a thrilling new direction–and this time it’s more graphic than ever.

Riordan is an immortal Carpathian male, trapped and caged, his honor compromised by his captors. They’re in his mind. They’re in his blood. And not one can withstand his desire for revenge.

Juliette is an activist devoted to liberating animals from a secret jungle lab. What she stumbles upon is a prisoner like no other. She will release him from his bonds. He will release her from her inhibitions.

After having enjoyed all of her previous Carpathian novels, I preordered this one knowing it would be good. I got it today- A COMIC BOOK!!!!!

Totally deflating; I had been planning to spend a couple of hours with a great book and I felt like throwing this one in the garbage. There should have been a warning label or something to let us know to look very closely at the description, but honestly, WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT A CHRISTINE FEEHAN NOVEL WOULD BE A COMIC BOOK?????? If this was an experiment, please let this dud be the first and last! As a retired teacher, I know children are getting a dumbed down education nowadays, but hopefully authors and publishers won’t succumb to the practice of making EVERYTHING look like a video game. Part of the fun of reading is using your imagination to form images from the words of the author- in the case of the Carpathians, I would bet readers have all sorts of different ideas of what things look like. Just a first glance at the pictures in this book turned me off.

I realize these types of books make lots of money for the publishers and authors without a whole lot of time invested. However, they won’t make ANY money by flim-flamming their audiences. I feel cheated because this book was presented falsely. The cover was not enough to warn us; we all know that many books nowadays have covers that don’t really indicate what the story is about.

It’s too bad that now as consumers, book-lovers are going to have to scrutinize even their favorite authors’ works to avoid being ripped off.

I just received “Dark Hunger”. I am so mad, I feel cheated. This is a COMIC Book! In the past I have been a loyal fan and always ordered Feehan’s books as soon as they were released. Not any more. Feehan shoot herself in the foot with this comic book and should appologize to her fans.

If you are expecting a Christine Feehan Novel you can spend a few hours enjoying, beware. This book will take you eight minuets to read, a dollar a minute. This Book is A COMIC BOOK! I can’t understand why this wasn’t described as such, especially for us who pre-order books of our favorite Authors.

Amazon – if this is not a one time thing, I will most likely stop shopping via the internet and will go to the bookstore so I can actually see the pages within to make sure it an actaul novel one can read and not a Comic Book.

    This was a real disappointment.

The description of this book is very misleading. You have no idea you are ordering a comic book. I was very disappointed when I recieved it in the mail and immediately returned it. Someone should make it clear this is not a true novel. I understand why Feehan did it – to capture another audience – but don’t advertise it the same way as the Carpathian series.

I pre-ordered this book before I saw the description because I love Feehan’s Carpathian series. However when I opened the box and saw the cover I knew at once it was a mistake. It is a Carpathian story in comic book form. I don’t know why she would do this with one of her stories but quite honestly I just printed the return label and will be sending it back to Amazon in tomorrow’s mail. Sorry, just don’t understand the point of publishing a vampire novel in comic book form.
